I knew I wanted to see one more English city before leaving the country by train. We escaped London gleefully upon our Virgin Train, 1st class no less, and arrived in York 2 hours later. The town was recommended to me by a Twitter follower who preferred the city over my second option of Bath. Considering that Bath, England was quadruple the price for a train the choice was made even easier. York it would be and York it was! Founded in 71 AD, York was purely and enigmatically wonderful. Just a short 10 minute walk from the train station the Old Town is picturesque with Medieval buildings and cobblestone streets. Secret Food Tours London: A Taste of Britain + Video
In London decent food wasn't hard to come by but frankly memorable meals were. At least that was the case for my husband and I on our honeymoon. That is until we went on our Secret Food Tour London featuring traditional British fare in the area of Borough Market and London Bridge. See the video below: At first I figured I'd be familiar with everything offered. There would be no surprises from London. From scotch eggs and fish n' chips to cheese and bread I've seen it all. But the tour held delicious surprises and some of the best food we'd have in all of the UK during our honeymoon. Our first stop was Borough Market. A vast and mostly covered sphere of vendors selling everything from ...
Postcards from London: Our UK Honeymoon

In most European cities that both my husband and I have visited the two sectors, historical/tourist and local business seem to marry well. In London however they seem to engross each other. This made for one busy city on the streets and the tube. And thank goodness for the tube! We were able to explore so much of the vast city in our 5 days of being there. We did all the touristy things as you'd expect for first timers to London. Some were worth our time and some were not but we know for next time. While ...
The Reveal: Honeymoon Itinerary
If you haven't been paying close attention to my little breadcrumbs I've been leaving throughout the past few months then you may not know where we decided to go for our honeymoon. With the wedding last week (August 20th) I figured what better time to tell you than now? We've decided to go to the UK! You might be shocked. Why on earth would newlyweds flock to the UK fresh in the wake of Brexit and all that gloomy weather? Well for one, Zika deterred us from going anywhere we wanted to go at first. Jamaica. Turks & Caicos. Bali. Even Hawaii ! While we do not fear for our lives or health traveling to these places, we more fear that, as newlyweds concerned for our potential future ...
