A ridiculous amount of coffee was consumed in the process of building this project. Add some fuel if you'd like to keep me going!
Tantalus Winery, British Columbia’s first LEED certified winery, overlooks the downtown core and offers one of the best views of the Okanagan Valley making it popular with tours, locals and wine connoisseurs. Just this year (2018) they’ve made it required to have a reservation for tastings during the weekends while during the week you’re welcome to pop in during their regular hours.
The tasting room is simple yet beautiful with carved first nations masks by Dempsey Bob gracing the wall in between pockets of wine bottles. These masks are also featured upon the wine labels themselves.
Those in the know come here for their delicious Riesling and Pinot Noir. Over the years they’ve added some impressive alternatives to the roster such as the Chardonnay, Old Vines Riesling Brut, Blanc de Noirs, icewines as well as the popular Rosé which sells out quickly.
