Win 2 Tickets to the Great Okanagan Beer Festival!

The Great Okanagan Beer Festival is coming back to Kelowna from May 11th – 13th. Hosted by Gibbons Whistler and founders of the wildly popular Whistler Village Beer Festival, they’ll be offering even more events around town before the main tasting event on May 13th. They’ve invited me back to cover the main event as well as some fun extra curricular activities with local breweries. I am particularly excited because this year they have given me two general admission tickets to give away (see bottom of this post to enter)!

In the past couple of years Kelowna has been turning into a beer lover’s destination. Seriously, here in wine country we also love our beer. With the addition of treasured Kelowna breweries/restaurants like BNA, The Curious, Kettle River Brewing Co., Tree Brewing Beer Institute, Big Surf Beer Co. and more, the Okanagan now has a bit of a beer belt for visitors to explore.

The Great Okanagan Beer Festival will not only be showcasing some of the best brews in from British Columbia but also Ontario, Quebec and a few International favourites. You can see a full list of participating breweries and cider producers participating at the official event website here.

Aside from the delicious hops being served up, the main event also has a huge selection of food trucks so arrive just as hungry as you are thirsty!

If you can’t attend the Great Okanagan Beer Festival you can follow along with me as I attend the live music at Doc Willoughby’s on May 11th from 9 pm – 2. The Curious Café’s tap takeover and BNA’s Brewers Social on the evening of May 12th. And finally brunch with Oak + Cru prior to the main event on the shore of Okanagan Lake May 13th. An afterparty will be held at the neighbouring Train Station Pub from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am!

  1. I love beer and would love to attend this festival. A trip to Canada is not in my near future, but maybe I’ll make it up there for this festival another year soon!

  2. What a fun festival for beer and cider lovers (I’m in the latter group)! And who wouldn’t want to visit this location, especially when food trucks are involved! Great event!!
